Quite a mouthful, eh? Our current educational model is quite antiquated! Do you realize that before 1960, self-education was a highly desirable and acceptable form of education. When the astronauts were chosen, the first requirement was a college education. This eliminated the man who made space flight possible, Chuck Yeager.  His formal education was limited to high school. From that time on, society no longer recognized self-educated people. Today, it is becoming a lost art.
